Omega Vague share first single from Aversion/Reversion

Omega Vague is the solo project of the ever-prolific Craig Douglas, whose work spans many genres including dreampop, shoegaze, and darkwave. With a new LP slated for April 28 release, Douglas shared a new single today via Somewherecold, who said it "recalls the hazy days of Pink Floyd mixed with the electronic prowess of M83."

Oak House share new track at CoS

Athens/Atlanta band Oak House will see the release of their sophomore LP April 7, and today they've shared a new cut from the album. "Cut that Out" is Part 1 of frontman Gresham Cash's Kafka-inspired dream and Consequence of Sound has the premiere.

Desert Culture Premiere "Elva" at Impose

Austin band, Desert Culture, just premiered their brand new single, "Elva" over at Impose Magazine. The track is a blend of surf with garage rock undertones that give it a bit of a bite through the laid back vibes. Catchy guitar riffs wash over you from the instant you press play and keep rolling through whole track, while the "relaxing--yet somehow haunting" vocals make you want to kick it beachside with a cold drink in your hand. Monster Movie Premiere New Single on Consequence of Sound

Monster Movie are back with their first new music in seven years! Consequence of Sound have the premiere of this track, "Shouldn't Stray From The Shadows" and you can take a listen to the shoegaze song over there. Consequence of Sound have nothing but praise for Savill and company, lauding the addition of new band members to flesh out the sound: "There’s still a shoegazing edge, but it’s lifted upwards by relentless thermals of blistering guitars and storming drums." Take a listen to the bright and soaring track and lookout for Keep The Voices Distant, which is out March 31st via Graveface Records. 

my education's "Open Marriages" remixed by Knifight

Known for their dark electronic vibes, Knifight have put their twist on fellow Austinites my education's recent single "Open Marriages." Ovrld premiered the cut, saying it "emphasizes the dark majesty of the original while adding in a glitchy, propulsive rhythm." 

"Open Marriages" remixes will be out next Friday, February 3. The full-length will follow on March 3.
