The Dialtones release video for new single "Young Summer"

Helmed by musical genius Lauren Gurgiolo, the experimental project The Dialtones have crafted what may be their most accessible offering to date in the form of “Young Summer.” Gurgiolo reflects, “the track encapsulates The Dialtones' fascination with rock + noise and wonder at our adaptability to begin again, over and over.”

rickolus share new song + video from Bones LP

The Jacksonville, FL singer-songwriter rickoLus will be releasing a new album on March 5 and today is sharing the second single and video “Four Track Love Song”. Richard Colado aka rickoLus shared some thoughts on the track:

“Ever since I started playing music, I was fascinated by how it was recorded. I started with just singing into boom boxes when I was a kid, then, as teen, got two of my parents’ tape decks and a mixer and would switch the tape back and forth recording on top each take to simulate multitrack recording. Then once my friend got a 4-track cassette porti-studio, it blew my fucking mind. I mowed lawns one summer during high school to save up enough to get my own. This was my ticket to ride, I spent countless hours and filled shoe boxes with cassettes of songs and experiments with my four track. This song is about those days, sitting in my room, not knowing how to write a song, or play any instruments, or record music, smoking crappy weed out of old soda cans, all my music gear was slightly busted, there were no rules and there were no limits and it was the most fun I've ever had. That's when I fell in love with cassette four tracks.”

God-des releases politically charged video "Living in America"

We all know today is Election Day and hip-hop artist God-des has released a new song/video with their thoughts on the current climate in America. The premiere at Out Front Magazine said “A politically charged hip-hop project, ‘Living in America’ unfolds as a hard-hitting, but immediately catchy rallying cry for change. With its urgent beat and soulful piano tunes, God-Des showcases her masterful vocal flow and razor-sharp wordplay. God-Des fires off on police brutality, systematic racism, corporate greed, and conservative hypocrisy. With the 2020 presidential election only days away, she is not the only artist expressing raw outrage and irrepressible hope.”
