Whippoorwill share new video at Substream

There's a new song+video from Whippoorwill out on Substream Magazine today! "This is a song about the American West and the love and longing and distance that can be projected onto those landscapes," says Alysia Kraft (guitar, vocals) of the track. Substream says the video is “shot beautifully” and calls the song “mournful, but reflective.” Check it out below and keep an eye out for the full-length, due November 15.

Transition Music Corporation announces the release of ARCTIC DOGS: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, available on November 1st. ARCTIC DOGS will also open in theaters nationwide on November 1st.

ARCTIC DOGS tells the story of Swifty the Arctic fox (Academy Award® nominee Jeremy Renner), who stumbles upon a dark scheme to melt the Arctic. Swifty decides he must team up with his ragtag group of friends to try and save the day. ARCTIC DOGS co-stars many well-known actors portraying animated characters, including: Emmy Award® winner Heidi Klum ('Jade' and 'Bertha'), Academy Award® nominee Alec Baldwin ('PB'), Academy Award® nominee John Cleese ('Otto Von Walrus'), Academy Award® nominee James Franco ('Lemmy'), Academy Award® nominee Angelica Huston ('Magda'), Michael Madsen ('Duke'), Omar Sy ('Leopold'), and Laurie Holden ('Dakota').

PARENTZ drop Halloween-themed video for "Dead Mall"

Oakland-based art pop project PARENTZ have been treating us to new material the past few months, starting with the original version of single “Dead Mall” followed by remix from Pretty Handsome, and now that we’re in the midst of Halloween season, we have a new video for the song, filmed at an actual abandoned mall. LA electronic pop act WEEKS shares debut single at Grimy Good

WEEKS is the newest electronic pop act coming out of LA with debut single “Plastic Screens” debuting at Grimy Goods today. The song is about our obsession with creating the illusion of perfection on social media. Willa Rae Adamo, a backbone of the Detroit music scene and co-founder of Girls Rock Detroit, has launched a new solo project celebrating the power of one real loud guitar and the unbreakable femme spirit reclaiming cock rock. Valerie the Vulture recently released a new video for first single “James Dean” which calls upon its iconic bad boy namesake and coming-of-age imagery to tell the story of a girl who is mistaking sex for love.
