Oakland-based art pop project PARENTZ have been treating us to new material the past few months, starting with the original version of single “Dead Mall” followed by remix from Pretty Handsome, and now that we’re in the midst of Halloween season, we have a new video for the song, filmed at an actual abandoned mall. Bay Area experimental electronic duo PARENTZ returned earlier this summer with the lovely and nostalgic “Dead Mall,” which is being remixed this week by fellow Bay Area group Pretty, Handsome. PARENTZ have also put together a playlist of songs from their friends, influences, and contemporaries that will have to jamming through all the way to weekend. Oakland electro pop, and sometimes absurdist, duo PARENTZ just dropped a new single that was inspired by Stranger Things and nostalgia for bumming around the mall as a teenager with nothing else to do. The last in the Last Friday's series of songs from Popgang Records and PARENTZ is out now! Just in time for Halloween, the Bay Area duo shared a tune inspired by the movie Ghost. The song appears on Chill Mega Chill's new compilation, The Chiller 5: Call Of The Chiller.

Bay Area duo PARENTZ have partnered with Popgang Records for a series of single releases this fall, the second of which was released today via Substream Magazine, who say the track is "driven by thick synths that pull you in early and refuse to let go."
