PARENTZ drop Halloween-themed video for "Dead Mall"

Oakland-based art pop project PARENTZ have been treating us to new material the past few months, starting with the original version of single “Dead Mall” followed by remix from Pretty Handsome, and now that we’re in the midst of Halloween season, we have a new video for the song, filmed at an actual abandoned mall. Check it out below! Happy Halloween!

PARENTZ drop "Dead Mall" remix + 'frens and frenemies' playlist

Bay Area experimental electronic duo PARENTZ returned earlier this summer with the lovely and nostalgic “Dead Mall,” which is being remixed this week by fellow Bay Area group Pretty, Handsome. PARENTZ have also put together a playlist of songs from their friends, influences, and contemporaries that will have to jamming through all the way to weekend. Will you be finding yourself at the Dead Mall?

PARENTZ drop new single at New Noise Magazine

Oakland electro pop, and sometimes absurdist, duo PARENTZ just dropped a new single that was inspired by Stranger Things and nostalgia for bumming around the mall as a teenager with nothing else to do. New Noise Magazine has the premiere of the groovy number, with synths and beats galore for your ears to get lost in. Take a listen to the track below or wherever you stream music.

“The track’s wavering energy is entombed in the atmosphere of the synth waves chiming through the air.”

PARENTZ share new single at PopMatters

It's another Last Friday! That means a new song is out from Bay Area duo PARENTZ. PopMatters did the honors of premiering the song, saying, "It’s a multi-layered, ethereal composition that speaks well to the duo’s art-pop billing." Keep your eyes and ears out for the final installation of Last Fridays coming to you on Halloween!
