Foxx Bodies grace us with another video from Vixen LP

LA’s Foxx Bodies have released a video for “Room” off their upcoming Vixen LP! Enjoy below and preorder the album from Kill Rock Stars.

"This song is about being queer, which has a different definition for everyone. There is no specific person or type of person this is for except maybe just anyone who has, at one point, felt like they might be ridiculed for being who they are. The focus on a room comes from my bedroom, the idea of ‘a room of one’s own’, or any safe space. Finding a safe space is the happy ending to the song and to my personal experience as a queer person." - Bella Vanek

Foxx bodies drop new video from Vixen LP

November 5 will see the release of the new record from LA’s Foxx Bodies via Kill Rock Stars. Today, the band share a video for single “Runaway” off the Vixen LP. Preorder via Bandcamp.

“Runaway is short, quick, and to the point. Taking emotional responsibility for my actions often feels impossible because of the abuse I have experienced and the mood and personality disorders I have. In a fight, flight, or freeze situation, I will flee every single time. Blame everything on me if you need to, but I will be hiding in a bathroom somewhere crying and wishing I were dead. I don’t runaway; I’m just gone.” - Bella Vanek

Foxx Bodies share new video/single from Vixen LP

LA’s Foxx Bodies have a new record due out November 5 on Kill Rock Stars and today they have shared a new video addressing singer Bella Vanek’s experience with borderline personality disorder. Hear from Bella and enjoy the very fun video below!

“BPD is short for borderline personality disorder which is one of my multiple mental health diagnoses. Each instrument is used to match the lyrics as they go from a predictable ‘neurotypical’ stream of consciousness to repeated self-hating phrases to loss of words or ability to function. This song was originally written for cathartic purposes, but it was recorded in hopes that borderline can be seen in a more sympathetic light. Many of the symptoms of BPD stem from low self-esteem, fear of abandonment, depression, anxiety, or abuse rather than the popular narrative of inherent intolerance or neuroticism.” - Bella Vanek
