Small Million share "Sirens" at Substream Magazine
/Portland synth-pop duo Small Million have released a new track from their October 12 EP, Young Fools. "Sirens" is a song that reverses the mythological tales of sirens luring sailors to their death by telling the story from the perspective of the sirens rather than the sailors. Vocalist and lyricist Malachi Graham explains, "Iām trying to call out a male gaze perspective of women as territory to be conquered, or as property that they are owed, without taking female agency and desires into account. Fuck that!" Listen to the song below, check out the premiere at Substream and preorder the EP via Bandcamp.
