Dire Wolves share stream of 'Paradisiacal Mind' ahead of its Nov 9 release

San Francisco’s Dire Wolves are celebrating the release of their new album, Paradisiacal Mind, tonight in their hometown, and they’ve shared with the world their whole trippy album in full ahead of its official Friday release over with the lovely folks at Treble. Treble had some nice words to say about the release:

“It’s a spacey, cosmic and spiritual set of psychedelic sounds, combining influences from krautrock, spiritual jazz, prog and more avant garde musical realms—at times sounding like Pharoah Sanders jamming with Ash Ra Tempel. It’s quite a trip, perhaps the sort of thing that’s necessary to give a spin during the chaos of a national election. It’s a weird and wonderful set of sounds from a band that’s always headed toward some new and unfamiliar realm”

Head over to Treble to stream the album and then pick up your copy over here.

Dire Wolves premiere new video on Tiny Mix Tapes

Dire Wolves, out of San Francisco, have long been making free folk/astral jazz that encourages introspection, but today they’ve outdone themselves with the release of their new visual companion to the track “Unfettered And Alive,” off their upcoming LP, Paradisiacal Mind. The track is a psychedelic journey into other worlds you didn’t know existed but have always been, just in the far reaches of your mind’s eye. The video, from Andy Puls, has been released by the fine folks at Tiny Mix Tapes—go read up on the video/album over there! Paradisiacal Mind will be out on November 9 on Feeding Tube Records here in the US and Cardinal Fuzz in the UK and EU.
